Alignments in the Merish Empire are political. All members of a company must be within 1 alignment step of their company's leader.
Preservationists (P) - Believe that the Emperor's current ways are perfect and must be preserved at all costs.
Neutralists (N) - Have no political ideology but tend to align with Preservationists.
Appealists (A) - Believe that the Emperor does not see the faults in the Empire because he is too busy with enacting his perfect and divine will, and the Empire can be reformed through appeals.
(Secret Alignment) Oppositionists (O) - Believe that the Divine Emperor must be overthrown. This alignment may not be held publicly.
